Space is the handbrake, and it does more than stop you. It unsticks the back end. Nearly every trick in this game starts from that one key.
There is no finish line. No timer. No mission list. You pick a car, pick a map, and the game stops telling you what to do. A counter tracks points from drifts, flips and barrel rolls, but nothing is locked behind it.
That makes the first ten minutes either brilliant or completely flat, depending on whether you go looking for a ramp.

Nobody Has to Grind for Anything
There's a widespread belief that you buy and upgrade cars in this game. It's wrong, and it sends players hunting for a system that isn't there.
All ten cars in the single-player game are available immediately. No currency. No upgrades. No paint jobs. You open the menu, you pick a car, you drive.
The confusion comes from the sequel-of-sorts. Stunt Simulator Multiplayer is a separate FreezeNova release from September 2018, and that one does have an economy — you collect points and spend them to unlock the rest of the cars. It also runs rooms of up to 20 players across three environments with a day/night option.
So if you want progression, you want the multiplayer build. The base game is a sandbox and nothing else.
A Correction on the Developer
The game is often credited to BoneCracker Games. That's an error, and it's been copied around widely enough to look authoritative.
BoneCracker Games is a Unity asset studio. Their published catalogue is Burnout Drift, Highway Racer, Toy Car Simulator and City Car Driving Simulator, plus the Realistic Car Controller toolkits they sell to other developers. Stunt Simulator isn't on it.
FreezeNova is the correct credit. They're also behind Vehicles Simulator, Police Stunt Cars and the multiplayer build.
The Pause Menu Is the Real Difficulty Setting
This is where the game hides most of its depth, and it's where nearly every guide stops short. Hit ESC and you get a set of toggles that change the handling far more than the car choice does.
Manual Transmission hands you the gears. It's slower to learn and it's the single biggest change you can make. Control over launch revs matters when you're trying to hit a ramp at a specific speed rather than flat out.
Drift Assist corrects your steering and speed during a slide so the car holds the drift instead of spinning. Helpful at first. Limiting later.
Stunt Assist smooths out flips, jumps and barrel rolls so they complete cleanly.
Traction control and a Car Behaviour preset also sit in the menu, alongside a toggle for the AI traffic and an Aggressive AI option that makes the other cars actively come at you.
Work through them in that order. Traction control and Drift Assist off first, drift-oriented behaviour preset next, Manual Transmission last once the rest feels natural. Assists on will get you clean landings and boring runs.
Turn Aggressive AI on when the sandbox goes stale. It changes the city map completely.
The Cars
The ten are Compact, Super, APC, Muscle, Truck, Big Rig, Coupe, Racer, Sport and Concept.
The game publishes no stats, so comparison comes down to handling. Exact mass figures or grip coefficients quoted anywhere for this game are invented.
Vehicle | What it's for |
Super, Racer | Top speed and acceleration. Best for long ramps and big air |
Sport, Coupe | The balanced picks. Quick enough to launch, light enough to rotate |
Concept | Handles noticeably differently to everything else. Worth trying early |
Muscle | Slides readily. The drift pick |
Truck, Big Rig, APC | Heavy. Poor rotation in the air, but they win every collision |
Chasing point totals? The fast light cars do the work. Chasing chaos? Take the Big Rig into traffic.
The Two Maps
One is a city with AI traffic and no police. The other is an open futuristic playground built around ramps and loops.
The city is the better map for the heavy vehicles, purely because there's something to hit. The playground is the better map for scoring, because it's built for air.
The AI cars only exist on one of the two. That's the main practical difference, and it's why the same car can feel like a different vehicle depending on where you spawn it.
Fixing Loading and Lag Problems
Unity WebGL games fail in a handful of predictable ways, and this one is no exception.
Ad blockers and browser shields. This is the most common cause of a game that never loads. Brave's shields and uBlock Origin both break Unity loaders regularly. Disable them for the page and reload.
Let it finish. Unity WebGL downloads the entire build before it starts. On a slow connection the first load is genuinely long, and a stall at 80–90% often just means it's still working. Refreshing restarts the whole download.
Turn on hardware acceleration. In Chrome it's under Settings → System. With it off, WebGL falls back to software rendering and the game crawls.
Grey screen after loading? Try the fullscreen button. That's a known quirk rather than a crash.
Close other tabs. Video and heavy web apps compete for the same GPU.
Update your graphics driver, then try another browser. Chrome, Edge and Firefox handle WebGL differently, and an old driver is a common reason it won't start at all.
Frequently asked questions
Can I play Stunt Simulator on my phone ?
No. It's desktop-only. Similar-sounding apps on the Play Store and App Store are different games by different developers.
Is there a multiplayer mode ?
Not in this game. Stunt Simulator Multiplayer is a separate release with rooms of up to 20 players, three environments and a day/night toggle.
Is there a Stunt Simulator 2 ?
Yes, and almost nobody mentions it. The sequel adds six maps — three indoor, three outdoor — plus a boost on Left Shift, a camera toggle on C, and manual gear shifting on Z and X.
Are there objectives, levels or an ending ?
None. It's a sandbox with a score counter. That's the whole design.
Is it suitable for kids ?
There's nothing beyond car crashes. It's listed as suitable from age six.
How do I unlock more cars ?
You don't need to. All ten are open from the start. Anything you've read about unlocking cars describes the multiplayer version.
